Tier Point & XP Calculator
How many elite-qualifying points a flight earns — British Airways Tier Points, Flying Blue XP, and AAdvantage Loyalty Points — by route and cabin. Plan a tier point run.
How tier points work
- British Airways Tier Points are revenue-based since April 2025 — roughly 1 Tier Point per £1 of fare plus carrier surcharges (taxes excluded). Gold needs 20,000.
- Flying Blue XP are fixed per flight segment by distance and cabin — fare price doesn't change them. Silver needs 100 XP, Gold 180, Platinum 300.
- AAdvantage Loyalty Points equal your base AAdvantage miles — 5 per US$ of base fare on AA flights. Gold needs 40,000.
Estimates only — verify against the programme's terms. Award tickets and basic/light fares typically earn no qualifying points.
