Claude Code Plugin

Search 19 airlines from one Claude prompt.

The free Claude Code plugin that finds award seats and compares 14 loyalty programs without leaving your terminal. Already running 2,600+ searches a day.

/plugin marketplace add jackculpan/award-travel-finder-plugin
/plugin install award-travel-finder

On first use, Claude opens your browser to sign you up — takes 30 seconds, free.

2,600+ award searches per day from Claude Code users we've never met.

New to MCP? It's the protocol Claude uses to call external tools. Anthropic launched it; OpenAI and others now support it too. You don't need to know more than that to install this plugin.

You ask Claude a real question — "Cheapest way to fly business JFK→NRT in November under 100k points?" — and the plugin does the boring part. It pulls live availability from 19 airlines, prices the route across 14 loyalty programs (Avios, Aeroplan, Flying Blue, Asia Miles, Virgin Points, etc.), accounts for fuel surcharges, and returns a ranked table. No tab-juggling, no spreadsheet, no five different airline websites.

Free account gets 5 economy searches/day. Paid tiers start at 150/month, all cabins, for power users.

Try these prompts

Paste any of these into Claude Code with the plugin installed.

1. Single date, specific cabin
Search award availability for business class JFK→NRT on 2026-11-14. Check ANA, Japan Airlines, and any oneworld partner. Price it in Aeroplan, Virgin Points, Avios, and Asia Miles. Tell me which program is cheapest after taxes.

Tools called: search_availability, get_pricing, get_program_rates

2. Monthly calendar — flexible dates
Pull a monthly calendar of business class award availability LHR→HND for May 2027. Show which days have seats, on which airline, and roughly how many Avios it costs each day. Highlight the cheapest 3 dates.

Tools called: search_monthly_availability, get_pricing

3. Multi-program comparison
For LHR→HND in business class, compare what it costs to book one-way using Avios, Aeroplan, Flying Blue, and Virgin Points. Include taxes and surcharges. Tell me which program is the best value and which has the worst fuel surcharges.

Tools called: get_pricing, get_program_rates

4. Cash vs points (hybrid)
SFO→LIS, October 12-19 2026, two passengers, premium economy or higher. Show me the cash fare and the equivalent points cost across Aeroplan, Flying Blue, and Virgin. Calculate cents-per-point on each option so I can decide whether to redeem or pay cash.

Tools called: search_hybrid, get_pricing, get_program_rates

5. Sweet spot — open-ended hunt
I have 100,000 Cathay Asia Miles expiring in 8 months. Show me the 10 best uses: which routes, which cabins, which partners, what taxes. Prioritize sweet spots like JAL first class and Qatar Qsuites. Confirm at least one real availability date in the next 12 months for each.

Tools called: get_program_rates, search_availability, search_monthly_availability

Why install this

30-second signup

Install the plugin, ask Claude a question. On first use, Claude opens your browser to sign you up at awardtravelfinder.com — no credit card, no waitlist. Free tier is 5 economy searches per day.

Monthly calendars in one prompt

Most flight tools make you click through 30 dates one at a time. Ask Claude for "May 2027 LHR→HND in business" and you get the whole month back as a table.

14 programs, one comparison

Same route, priced in Avios + Aeroplan + Flying Blue + Virgin in a single response — including taxes and fuel surcharges. The "is this actually a good deal?" question answered in 8 seconds.

Live data, not training-data guesses

Claude on its own will hallucinate award charts and quote Iberia rates from 2019. The plugin replaces guesses with real availability and current pricing.

FAQ

Do I need an API key? +
No — but you do need a free account. The first time you use the plugin, Claude opens awardtravelfinder.com in your browser to sign you up (or sign in if you already have an account) and confirm access. Takes 30 seconds. After that, the plugin works automatically. Free accounts get 5 economy searches per day — enough for normal trip planning. Need more? Upgrade at awardtravelfinder.com/pricing.
Is it really free? +
Yes. The plugin is free, and the free tier gives you 5 economy searches per day after signup — enough for normal trip planning. Paid tiers (150/month and up, all cabins) exist for power users who run a lot of comparisons; they start at the price of a coffee. Most users never need them.
What about my data? +
Searches are tied to your awardtravelfinder.com account so we can count them against your monthly quota — that's it. We don't scrape your other Claude conversations, files, or anything outside the plugin's tool calls. Your search history lives in your account so you can revisit past trips.
Does this work in ChatGPT or other tools, or just Claude Code? +
The plugin is built for Claude Code. The underlying MCP endpoint at https://mcp.awardtravelfinder.com/mcp follows the open Model Context Protocol spec, so any client that supports remote MCP servers (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, ChatGPT's MCP support as it rolls out) can talk to it directly — you'd just configure it manually instead of using /plugin install. We're tracking cross-client compatibility and will publish setup guides as more clients ship support.
Which airlines and programs are supported? +
19 airlines and 14 loyalty programs as of today — full list above. Some airlines (BA, Qatar, Cathay, Virgin, Iberia, Qantas) have full availability + monthly calendars. Others (American, Alaska, JetBlue, Etihad, Emirates) have a subset of those features. Run /atf:search-flights or call list_supported_airlines to see exactly what's live in real time.
How accurate is the data? +
Availability is fetched live from each airline's own systems on most queries — the same data you'd see on their website. Some airlines are cached for up to 4 hours to avoid bot-blocking; we mark cached results in the response. Award chart pricing is maintained by us and audited weekly. Bot protection occasionally breaks scrapers — when an airline goes down we surface that in the tool output instead of returning silently wrong data.
How do I report a bug or request an airline? +
Open an issue at github.com/jackculpan/award-travel-finder-plugin or email [email protected]. Airline requests are tracked publicly — we ship one or two a month based on demand.
